Tanta Luz

Almost five minutes that sum up where the band comes from: heavy riffs, room for the bass to breathe and a final build that hits twice as hard live. Released by Producción Musical Chile.

If you like it, save it to your library: it helps more than you’d think.

Green Therapy playing live

The band

From playing covers to writing their own

Green Therapy formed in Santiago, Chile, in 2022. The first rehearsals were covers of the bands that shaped them; over time those sessions turned into original songs, written together.

What came out of it is alternative rock built on four things: dynamics, energy, groove and emotional weight. Live, that becomes a show that’s just as carefully crafted visually, with synchronized multimedia. They’re currently producing the material that will complete their debut album.

Four people, four versions of the same band. Each one tells their own.

I was about nine when I went to my first rock gig, at my school in Concepción. I think it was the first time I’d ever seen a band live. The singer had a Telecaster and I thought it was amazing. Later I went with a friend to a music store to ask how much one cost, and I couldn’t believe it. It stayed there, like a dream. I only made it come true two years ago. Here, I was the second singer Paul tried out; the first was Cotocho. He saw my message at the last minute and it almost didn’t happen, but the story has me here, writing songs with the guys.

I’ve been playing since I was 13. A friend taught me Californication, I’d started listening to Pink Floyd and Dark Side blew my mind, so I asked my mom for a guitar for Christmas. In 2015, to my surprise, I got an acoustic Maxtone. Having everything handed to you wasn’t easy, and instruments have always been known for being expensive: that was all thanks to my family. At first I didn’t even know electric and acoustic guitars had the same notes. In July 2025 Paul posted on Facebook that they were looking for a guitarist, I answered, and the guys welcomed me warmly from minute one.

I started out on guitar in the ’90s, obsessed with Slash from Guns N’ Roses, until a drummer friend I used to play Nirvana and Red Hot Chili Peppers covers with suggested the bass, and at some point I listened. I started Green Therapy, I think in 2022, with a Facebook ad looking for drums, vocals and guitar. Once I was riding my motorcycle to our Wednesday rehearsal at WareHouse and got hit by a car with four people inside; it turned out to be stolen. I got to rehearsal bleeding and with my bass strings broken. It was a good rehearsal to celebrate being alive.

I’ve loved music since I was a kid, but I started studying drums at 19, at the Projazz institute. I was there for two years and then kept playing on my own. A little over a year ago I met the Green Therapy guys, in a bit of a rush because I was on my way to a System of a Down concert, and it all went well. Then Renato joined, and since then we’ve been pushing each other to become better musicians with every rehearsal.
